Much of what is in this image deserves to be talked about.
Ignoring Ira Einhorn for the moment. The discussions of DDT and its banning - the story of Silent Spring and its impact on the world could be the subject of many columns. The number of people that have been killed or otherwise injured since the banning of this pesticide in the early 1970’s reaches into the hundreds of millions, if not passing a billion.
Then there is Paul Ehrlich and his continued calls for population reduction coupled with his doom & gloom predictions which continue to this day with his appearance on 60 minutes, but he’s still wrong. He has been one of the leading pushers of true disinformation concerning climate change as well as pushing poor health regimens that contradict hundreds of years of established science and medical research without a proper foundation to support such claims.
Overall, Earth Day’s founding and intentions are not the righteous celebration of life that we have been led to believe all this time. It is an attempt to promote a socialistic ideology coupled with ideas that are counter to a safe and growing population.
